- In the Watershed, slender milkvetch is a common plant of meadows, gentle grassy slopes, and occasionally forest openings. The one Basin record is labeled “Alamosa, two miles northwest” (Ramaley, 1934). In the USA, Astragalus flexuosus ranges through the Rocky Mountains from the Mexican border to the Canadian, as well through the northern Great Plains. It does not follow the Rio Grande drainage beyond New Mexico.
