- Of chickpea milkvetch ("cicer" means chickpea), there are so far only two recorded locations the Watershed, one a mile S of Bonanza in Saguache Co (1999), the other along the road that follows Willow Creek above Creede in Mineral Co (2016). This is the Watershed's only exotic Astragalus, one that probably will be more and more recorded. It was introduced from Europe as a forage and reclamation plant, and first appeared in Colorado in the 1970s, where now most of the collections come from farther north in the state. It has been recorded from the Cristos of Vermejo Park Ranch in Taos Co, New Mexico, within the Rio Grande drainage.
