- Of Hayden's milkvetch there are two vouchers from the Watershed: near Las Mesitas, about one mile SW of Antonito (Conejos Co, 1987), and 7.3 miles NW of Saguache (Saguache Co, 1966). A third observation, a photorecord, is of a patch beside Hwy 285 south of the town of Saguache (Saguache Co, 2023). These are Astragalus bisulcatus var. haydenianus, which is often collected from the San Juan River drainage of Archuleta Co. The other Colorado variety, var. bisulcatus, is common in the Front Range. In the USA, the species is largely a Rockies plant, whose southern range ends in the northern third of New Mexico.
