- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There are only six records of Indian milkvetch from the Watershed, several around Creede, one near Cochetopa Pass, one near La Veta Pass, and one from around the Rio de los Pinos of Conejos Co. Ackerfield calls the species “uncommon’ and shows a distribution running down the central mountains of CO. The Watershed records mark the southeastern corner of the USA distribution, which generally follows the Rocky Mountain on up to Canada, with occurrences also in northeast Nevada, Utah, and North and South Dakota.
