NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For the weedy Euphorbia virgata the Watershed shows only four locations: an old farmstead above the Great Sand Dunes (1987), the bank of an irrigation reservoir and farm meadow near Antonito (1992), a "riparian meadow" 2.5 miles SE of Antonito (1990, 1992), and along the Rainbow Trail in the North Cristos (Hogan and Elliot (2022). Leafy spurge is on Colorado's B list of "noxious weeds." This native species is recorded from all the USA except for Oklahoma, Texas, and the Deep South. It is present in the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico but not of Texas. It has been determined a distinct species from Euphorbia esula, native to Europe.
