- Woodnymph is common in the Watershed, from upper montane to alpine on both sides of the Valley. It is not collected from the Culebras, but probably present there since there are many collections from the continuation of the Cristos in New Mexico. The only member of its genus in the USA, Moneses uniflora can be found in high-elevation mesic habitats throughout the Rockies and the Cascades, with a disjunct population in the states bordering Canada all the way into New England. It follows the Rio Grande drainage down only into Sandoval and Santa Fe counties of New Mexico.
