- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For alpine laurel there are two Watershed locations, both in Conejos Co: Laguna Venada (1988), about 9.5 miles NE of Cumbres Pass; and in the Iron Creek Potential Conservation Area, 3 miles SW of Summitville. BONAP shows Mineral Co, with no vouchers in SEINet. The Watershed locations lie, isolated, on the very southeast point of the USA distribution, which covers high elevations in all western states with the exception of Arizona and New Mexico.
