- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. The Watershed has produced two records of this dodder: Alamosa Co, 1985, parasitic on alfalfa; Conejos Co, along La Jara Creek, 2004, “infrequent,” parasitic on “Humulus and Asteraceae.” There are isolated records from nearly every USA state. In Texas the plant follows Rio Grande drainage to the Gulf.
