- Spreading snadwort, highly variable, is present in all mountain regions of the Watershed, although much less often collected from the Cristos (Hogan and Elliott 2022 say that in the North Christos most collections come from the vicinity of Music Pass). Arenaria lanuginosa is common from montane to subalpine in forest openings and occasionally on rocky slopes. The USA distribution is disjunct, with the Watershed's variety (var. or subsp. saxosa) present in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, while other varieties are scattered through the Deep South.
