- For Arctic bellflower there are only a few Watershed locations, less than seven: West Spanish Peak in Costilla Co (Rydberg, 1900); Zapata Falls and above Crestone in the North Cristos; around the headwaters of the Rio Grande and along Park Creek in the south San Juans. The USA range of Campanula uniflora follows the Central and Southern Rockies, and these Watershed locations (along with one specimen from Taos Co in New Mexico) mark its southern limit. Plant height, length of sepals, and length of anthers are all shorter in C. uniflora compared to C. parryi. Note that some authorities (e.g., Plants of the World Online, BONAP) name this plant Melanocalyx uniflora (a name change proposed by Nancy Morin, 2020).
