- There are only two Watershed records of Turritis glabra, both from Mineral Co: 6 miles S of Wagon Wheel Gap on Humphrey’s ranch (2012); and Shaw Lake SW of South Fork (photorecord, 2016). Both habitats were meadow bordered by woods. There are many records from the San Juan River drainage, just west of the Continental Divide, in Archuleta, Mineral, Hinsdale, and San Juan cunties. The USA distribution covers all Western states, the Great Lakes region, and New England. However, it follows the Rio Grande drainage only as far south as Santa Fe Co, New Mexico. The Colorado and New Mexico locations lie at the southeastern corner of the Western distribution, and the species is considered uncommon in both states.
