- In the Watershed, there is only one herbarium voucher of Sisymbrium linifolium, from the Baca NWR, found alongside Crestone Creek (2012). The photorecords from Del Norte (2014; 2024) and Beaver Creek Reservoir (2020) would add Rio Grande to counties indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). Ackerfield (2015) shows Costilla Co and Conejos Co, and BONAP (2022) also Conejos Co, with no vouchers in SEINet. In Colorado this is primarily a west slope species, growing in sagebrush communities. The Watershed records lie on the eastern edge of the USA distribution. The species has been recorded from the Rio Grande drainage down to Otero Co, New Mexico, but no farther down stream. Note that POWO places this taxon in Schoenocrambe. Most other authorities leave it in Sisymbrium: FNA, BONAP, Allred et al. (2020), Ackerfield (2020). FNA calls the placement in Schoenocrambe "an example where the superficial resemblances in fruit morphology are the result of convergence and can easily mislead to erroneous taxonomy."
